Pulling stock bench seat, any problems?

Hopefully I will be pulling the stock bench seat this weekend. Are there any "hidden" bolts or anything that will hang me up or is it pretty straight forward? I am either putting in a modern bench seat (not sure what it is out of) or bucket seats out of a Crown Vic, haven't decided for sure yet.

Nope, it is really easy. 8 bolts and it will be out

Do yourself a favor and get a gear wrench of the appropriate size.
One of the front bolts on the passenger side is a real tight fit. You can't get a socket on there and have enough clearance for the ratchet. You can get it with an open end or box end wrench but you can only turn it a few degrees at a time. It takes longer than forever to get that thing out that way!
A gear wrench would be money well spent.

spray the bottom side of the bolts with pb blaster first and they'll come right out. with some force of course.

Thanks guys, luckily I just got a new can of PB the other day. I wanted some '04 Ranger seats that were on ebay but they sold for way too much so I'll see how the extra seats I have do. There is also a great upholstry place in town that I may eventually take the stock seat to.

i nearly killed my self trying to take mine out.

I've got a set of them and a set of Qratchet/ sockets that have a hole all the way through them just for stuff like that.

Better get a buddy to help with the removal!! Those seats are HEAVY! You may tear your carpet if you try to drag it out by yourself.
