AM/FM Radio

Post by ejgator »

Hey. I have a AM/FM radio that will fit my 68 F100. The slide bar that changes from AM to FM is stuck on FM. Anybody have any experience with one of these units?

I think it needs a general cleaning, since the action of the push buttons is very sluggish, as well. It was represented by the eBay seller as a working unit.

Thanks

If you have access to someone in the electronics field have them order a can of cleaner called "Big Bath"

It is safe for the electronics but really cleans out old grease, dirt etc.

If they cannot find that stuff a good substitue is made by Chemtronics and is called Electro-Wash.

Hey
I could sure use an am/fm radio for my 68. I'm tired of listening to all the "my dog run away songs" on am country. Not a big fan of wife neatin music

You can pick up some good used shaft-mount stuff on E-bay. Heck, here's a new still in-the-box AM/FM/8-track, for that vintage look:

Only a $10 opening bid, gotta be worth that to get some decent tuneage in that truck of yours.
