Quick brake question
Im going to the Junkyard in about an hour, will the power brake booster from a older f150 (not sure of the exact year, but I think its 70's) swap into my 67 f100?

I would like to know that so I hope someone can answer that. I keep hearing aobut a booster bracket I hope that will work too.
1969 Ford F-100. 302 4 barrel, C4 auto, 9in 3.50 open rear, headers, power steering, Turq/wht, Under restoration. In other words, in a million pieces!!!

No, the '68-up booster will not fit a '67, due to differences in the location of the pedal assemby's pivot pin. The booster pushrod would be too long. While it could be shortened down to fit, it would be a LOT easier to just pick up a '68-up pedal assembly at the same time as the booster. I went and picked it up today before I read your reply. The actual rod part is different than one on a f100, but I dont see a reason I couldnt get it to work on my truck. I bought the whole unit together, but I think that if I put my old master cylinder on it, and then just cut down the rod down and drill a new hole, or even cut the rod down and then weld the end back on to make it 3 7/8" away from the firewall it would work. You can see that the f150 brake booster is higher up than on the f100, hopefully everything will be ok. Keith, if it works out I will take some pictures and send it to you if you want to add it to the site as another option for people looking to swap to power brakes.

You gotta give us more time to reply!!
It's not going to work unless you shorten that flat rod going to the pedal. Or, like I said, go back and get the pedal bracket that bolts to the firewall and dash and holds the pedals. Otherwise, it'll bolt up just fine.

ok, here is what you can do, just drill another new hole in that flat arm that goes to the pedal whatever distance it needs to be, dont cut the extra off unless you want to. I did this to a brake booster from a 78 that I put into my 65, and It had to be the same distance away that yours is.
