Just had to learn that one in structural school for my aircraft mechanic's licenses... 25 years ago, but it's still there....haha I also get to apply that stuff to the heavy equipment and truck frames that I work on alot. That's sort of an "accelerated" means of testing strength of stuff!
CoolTool... that sounds like the best "other" solution... I was thinking of some type of "structural adhesive" or "bedding compound", but the loctite and lots of it, should do just fine.. I doubt that a grade 8 bolt would ever fail, but it could be where that little "rattle" comes from after some dirt road fun

. I can't imagine seeing a regular "hardware store" bolt in there!!!
