Outside door handles, L&R, WTB

Post by jzjames »

It’s about time I locate some better outside door handles. Been living with these ugly pitted ones long enough.
If you can help me out let me know.

I wouldn't hesitate to "bite the bullet" and go new on outside handles on a bump, (as it's one of the first "shiny" things folks notice on our trucks).
Any DC chrome I'd ever bought was at least American made and triple plated.

Do you know if they are the real deal?
(Well let’s hope so, I just ordered them complete, L & R., $180. shipped.) (Early Christmas present to myself!)

Remember when you could still find nice ones in the junkyard?

JZ,
I can't say for sure about the DC door handles, (but like I said any and all DC chrome I ever bought was at least triple plated and made here in the US).
Yeah our boneyards are so disappointing these days, I've found a few here that still at least let you in the yard.

Now if I can just find my cab to start my next build... :(

FYI, just called DC for any more details on this item.

Said the door handles are imported from Taiwan, so that was a cancelled order.

$180 for Taiwan junk is not happening. I think DENNIS CARPENTER stuff has to be looked at closely now. Just the way things are in the year 2021!

So much for DC being "show quality" anymore!
Sorry for the bad info JZ.

Have you tried NPD or Green Sales, (Green Sales might have Ford NOS OEM but price would prob scare me there).

That's so...sad Tom!
Especially considering how much OEM Ford manufacturing equipment DC bought and owns for our bumps and dents! :(
