Making my truck into a Ranger and putting the reproduction Ranger emblem on the glove box door. Pins barely stick through. What fasteners are used to hold it on and where can I find them?
Same goes for the Ranger emblem on the side of the box. What fasteners are used there and where can I find them?
Thanks

Re: glove box emblem fasteners
Did you try DC?
I'd also try these guys.

At one time years ago I had another source of Ford only fasteners but had a puter' crash when Hurricane Charlie took the power out and lost so...many vendor contacts.

Thank you.
I tried DC and could not find anything that would work to secure these emblems. I also tried your link and could not find anything there either.

Re: glove box emblem fasteners
I bought a reproduction farm and ranch special emblem for the cowl and it was sent with two sided tape. What about getting some 3m double stick tape for your glove box emblem?

Re: glove box emblem fasteners
That's what I thought the Ranger glove box emblem used to mount anyway, (double sided tape)?

They use a nut like the ones that the hood badges are held on with.

Ok cool. I was thinking about the two sided tape as the pins barely protrude past the steel but the holes are fairly big so I got thinking maybe the nuts fit into the hole to help locate and tighten up against the first layer of steel.cstoyer wrote:They use a nut like the ones that the hood badges are held on with.
Any idea where I might be able to get those for that small of a pin?

Acorn nuts were used. take the emblem to hardware store, find acorn nut that fits, then install.
