8 lug swap
Ok I’m sure this has been covered but can’t find a definite answer. I have a 68 F100 4x4. I put a ford 10.25 in the back so now I want to make the front 8 lug to match. So my question is will the spindles froma disc brake say 78 or 79 F250 bolt onto my axle? Then I can put the brakes and hubs on it? Any help is much appreciated.

If it were only that easy you'd literally see thousands of lifted bump one tons rolling down the road.Sean68f100 wrote:Ok I’m sure this has been covered but can’t find a definite answer. You'll be searching for the proverbial "white elephant" on all 4 X 4 bump owner's wish list, (the dent era 73'-79' DANA HP 60 front axle).
I searched for one to complete my DRW one ton build for 8 years and never found one in my budget, (they usually sell used for no less than $1200-$2000 as most guys know what they have there).

There's not really many other options to connect your existing axle tube to disc brake one ton spindles, (as it's the spindle you have to change first to accept a one ton hub and caliper assembly).

Re: 8 lug swap
Hey I wasn’t asking about putting one ton on the front. I’m asking about putting the 8 lug putters of a 3/4 ton 44 on my 5 lug 44. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear. I have heard the spindles will bolt on then everything else can right on being that they are both danna 44. Anybody know for sure
