Want to upgrade my alternator to 100 amp but I’m having a problem finding with the 3 wire oem connection. Is it a problem using a one wire alternator if so will the amp gauge still work? Any other problems

I'm currently in the middle of my 390 rebuild. When it come times to the charging system I plan on throwing in a Ford 3G Alt from a late 90's Mustang with a 3.8L. Mostly because you can pick one up at just about any autoparts store. Plus that 130 amps is more than enough to power my Spal fans and electronic ignition.
