I Beam help
I'm right in the middle of doing my King pins. I pulled the I beams and spindles off and brought them to the machine shop for the god forsaking "pressing" process. I failed to mark them right and left. Is there a way to tell which side is which? Does it make a difference during install?

re: I Beam help
Well, they'll only fit one way, but just to make it easier on you....look at the casting numbers on the I-beam. Depending on the year and model, they'll look something like this:
![Image](http://www.fordification.com/images/FAQ/I-beam-castings07.jpg)
See where's there's a number 8 and a number 9 right after the first 4-digit letter/number set? Number 8 goes on the right and number 9 goes on the left.

The left and right I-beams have unique numbers, don't know what year yours is but follow this thread for some numbers.

Allright fellas. dirty deed is done. Swapped the I beams and I'm not sure if because I did it twice but, they went together a whole lot easier this time. You guys saved me alot of pissing and moaning. Thank you. Hopefully test drive it this afternoon.

I believe the spindles on an F100 are the same right and left.
The F250's are different as the have the sterring knuckle cast into them.
