Hey there I'm from southwest iowa with a 66 f250 300+4spd. I've had this truck for a few years now and ive loved this generation of Fords with the bell fenders and stand alone F-O-R-D emblem in the grille! Over the years I've had a handful of these trucks and now that I'm older and wiser (ok maybe not wiser, but enough financial backing now) i plan on keeping this one and doing everything possible to modernize it and one day give the same passion and fire to my children so this will stay in my family.
Ive had a very good friend help with the rusty floors, cab damage, and all around major rust from years of neglect. My next big projects will be to give it power brakes/double bowl master cylinder, and a rear end that will let me drive over 45 on the highway! After that, maybe radio, some creature comforts.
Anyway, I'm glad to be in the group, and look forward to utilizing the knowledge of the community!

I like these trucks too..and I like the original paint look.
(What would you get if you wiped off that black primer with some lacquer thinner?)
