Need a pic of windshield stainless trim

I've got the windshield stainless off the `74, and it looks identical to the stuff on my `69. Shape, size, etc, but I can't tell if it is the same on the side that goes INTO the seal. (and I'm afraid to pull it off my `69, as I'll likely never get it back in correctly )

Anyone have, or could take, a picture of the REAR (hidden when installed) side of the windshield trim? Want to see if it is the same stuff. I know the rubber seal from the `67-72 trucks is different than the `73-79's, but I'm not sure about the trim. Would be nice to know, especially as another source for parts!

this stuff has an L-shaped lip that goes into the rubber seal and I just want to see if it's the same or not.

Well the glass is the same. I would think a '73-'79 seal and their ss trim could work, but I'm just guessing.

Ok, when I first opened this thread, I was not logged on so I didn't see the pic. As I recall, the trim on my '71 is hat shaped and doesn't have the welded pieces underneath. But its been a few years and I may be mixing the trim profile up with another car.

believe it or not, that trim is one solid piece, folded over into itself like that. The piece that looks seperate IS, but that's just the center connector piece (two of them, top and bottom of the windshield) and it just slides on snugly. Looking at the pic, the part on the right side where it curves back over, it then goes about halfways across, does a 90* turn, goes UP about 3/16 of an inch, takes another 90* turn, and goes another 1/8 inch.

I was really surprised to see that upon closer inspection. When I first pulled the side pieces out, I was sure it had to be something spotwelded together.

That's some serious stamping. No wonder the repops are so expensive!

Oh, and the funny thing is, `73-`76 have two seals, one for trim, one without, and then there is another two for `77-`79 (one with trim and one without), yet they ALL have the same glass as our trucks, as far as I know.
