I have a 72 Ranger XLT short bed with a 69 Mercury 429 cubic inch motor & c6 automatic transmission, it is leaking a little antifreeze some where around the intake manifold . When I drive it 20 miles or so little puddles of antifreeze is on the intake.
SOOO I think I am going to need new intake gaskets.

The motor is stock with stock cast iron 4 barrel intake & Edelbrock 650 carb.
I have electric fan and MSD box, distributer , & etc.
My question is it worth the money to replace the stock cast iron intake with a aluminum 4 barrel intake since I will have to remove the cast iron intake to replace the intake gaskets anyway , & if so what kind of aluminum intake and will I have room between Carburetor , breather to close the hood ?
Would I have to change any linkage or intake hook ups ?
It runs good like it is but you know we are always looking to improve.
I plan on leaving the motor stock like it is.
Thanks for all the comments/tips/information in advance.
