New member near San Antonio, but been around a long time. Finally found a real 1972 F100 4WD short bed, the first one I can remember seeing live. Although rare, not in good enough shape to restore stock. 360 with bent/broken push rods, 4 spd, D21. Someone added power steering, power brakes. I have stripped it down to bare frame and will do a frame up rebuild.
I am buying a 72 F250 2wd Ranger 390 C6 parts truck. I plan to hop up and rebuild the new 390 and the C6. I also bought a C6 for a 460 with the adapter for the C6 and the NP235 transfer case. I hope to mate this all together and convert to automatic. I will use the front clip, engine, trans, accessories and complete cab from the F250 donor truck, as it is all in better condition, and I won't have as much work converting the linkage etc. to the auto.
I've already learned a lot on this forum and will be on it often. I hope to document and share the build somewhere. Maybe someone can let me know the best place to do that.
