Modern Driveline in Caldwell Idaho

Post by Ohiotinkerer »

Called them about a bellhousing adapter to run a T5 behind my 300 straight 6 build that is in the planning stages and got some of the most helpful customer service I've ever gotten - had an answer for all my questions and very friendly! Would recommend them to anyone looking for help with driveline questions!.......

Never heard of those guys, (have had bellhousing adapters bookmarked since the 70's when I got a 70' Landcruiser). Summit will probably beat their price by a few hundred dollars and I have one or two more it you want to compare prices. Look at how many Summit has to choose from just to start:

Advance Adapters is one of the first to get into this business, (transmission & bellhousing adapters) back in the 70's:

Speedway Motors is another good source:

And I believe that Bendtsten's Speed Gems also has it in stock:

It's $175 for the one I'm getting and it's made exactly to adapt a T5 from a mustang to the Econoline bellhousing i have - I gave them the Ford part number off the bell housing and, how many bolts the starter had, flywheel tooth count, clutch size, depth of the bellhousing and diameter of the thru hole in the rear and had an answer in less than 2 mins - they make their own products and know their stuff when it comes to this........just my personal preference to go with them because they made it really easy for me and were really polite and helpful.......

Here's what I'm ordering.......

I agree completely that the guys at MDL are great to deal with. I bought the hydraulic clutch conversion set up from them and the parts were great quality and their support is excellent.
