window regulators

Post by Zorm »

Looking for a pair, they don't need to actually function. I'm putting power windows in and am going to modify the regulators with 2 microswitches each for up and down. So it will still look like manual windows, but all you do is move the window handle a little each way to move the window. I can get something like this pre-made but I think I can make them for cheaper.

Yea I saw that but I picked up some after market power window mechanisms for flat windows that mount centered on the window.

not yet, been sidetracked. Finishing up a home project then back to the truck. I am also assuming the regulators from a 73-76? would work also, bolt up the same?

Ron_Hall, I would just be using the handle/toothed part. Take that long arm off, mount a two cams on the gear to engage two different micro switches, one up, one down. I'm getting some sealed relay packs from a member on the IFSJA forum to help with window power. Thanks for the pics though.

73-79 are not the same as the 67's or 68/72's and even all 73/79's are not the same. some trucks the regulators where bolted in < 3 bolts > and others where riveted in the door
