New member in Tennessee
Just dropping by to give a quick intro... been a lurker for a little while now & finally signed up. I've been lazily looking for a '71 shortbed for the wife for a few years now, but have finally gotten serious about it - we were both born in '71, and her maiden name was Ford, and she's always wanted a truck from her birth year. Depending on what exactly we end up with, we'll do the usual upgrades, and I look forward to drawing on the collective knowledge here

Original "ridge runner" here, (the crime / murders / terrorism / and lack of decent VA healthcare in my hometown of Nooga' became too much).
I dated a much older lady with the same maiden name who lived on Lookout Mountain in Nooga'.
I know where there's a short bed down this way for sale.

from Alabama.
My wife and both sides of her family are from Townsend and Oak Ridge. My son’s ‘70 Ranger is from McMinville, TN. And his engine is from Nashville. Plenty of good old Ford’s up that way.
Good luck on your search. Truly great folks on this forum.

Congrats joining the site. I Just joined today and recently picked up an all original 1969 f100 ranger short bed with a 302. It's a CA truck built in the San Jose CA plant with CA black plates and lived its life here and wears its original lime gold paint which is a paint code delete (special order). Love these trucks.

from Ohio
Shouldn't have a problem finding one down your way - climate was alot kinder to them there than up here in the rust belt - gonna be down in a couple weeks to work on my retirement property outside Collinwood and already have my stepdad making a list of junkyards to hit......hoping to find some Tennessee treasures.........

Jeff, I've got a truck & trailer and I'm willing to travel for the right one, if you'd want to share that lead

Mr Djangofett, to the best site period.
Hope you like it here .
Pull up a chair and stay awhile.
Hope you find the truck that suits you & your wife.
These old bumps bring a lot of happiness , so don't give up, the right one is out there , somewhere.
