New guy from AZ

Post by Gila Monster »

Hi, I just joined because I'm researching before buying a 1968 F100 LWB 2wd 240 I6 4spd. It has belonged to an old friend for almost 40 years but has been sitting parked for 10 years. He offered it to me for $500. I'm only interested in returning it to driving condition and basically stock but I'm trying to look before I leap.

I’m really new to this stuff although I learned to drive in a 68 F100 4x4 swb. The owner sent me a few more photos. I posted them in another site and somebody said it looks like a Ranger interior. The owner said all the gauges etc were working when he last drove it. He had been running it on propane so hopefully the carb isn’t too bad. I’m a bit bummed that the hood and fender have been replaced. It would have been nice if it were all original colors. I still haven’t committed to buying it but really the big problem is just going to get it 12 hours away.

The dash bezel and door panels look Ranger to me. The seat you can’t tell about...
