1969 rear Axle steal brake lines

Post by Mikeincool »

I am ready to build the rear brakes on my old '69 and my axle does not have the steal brake lines. Is it better to buy the straight lines and bend them or buy a set from a junk yard assuming I can find some. I looked for new pre-bent lines and all of those were over $100. That sounds way to much for what they are. Am I missing something or is this not that common to replace?

I had to replace one on the front of my truck a couple years ago. Granted, I only needed one so I got it with fittings on it already and bent it. Im sure its way cheaper if you have flare tool and make your own.
