Fat man Fabs CV A Arms
Anyone see these? 1" narrower (from what I understand 1" per side) and an option of 1 1/2" lower than stock. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_ ... 8304104693

Re: Fat man Fabs CV A Arms
Thanks for posting this. I emailed them and asked if they would consider stock length tubular control arms for those that have already invested money in wheels but would like to upgrade to tubular. My guess is there would be quite a few that would when it comes time to replace the ball joints and bushings on the stock control arms.

Re: Fat man Fabs CV A Arms
So this was the question I asked:
"I read the press release on the tubular control arms for the Crown Vic IFS. There are a lot of folks out there (myself included) that have already invested in wheels for the stock length control arms but would consider upgrading to a tubular control arm when it comes time to replace the ball joints and/or bushings on the stock control arms. Any chance you will make stock length units with the drop option?"
And this was the the response I got:
"Seriously doubt it. As far as we can see just about everyone would benefit from a slightly narrower track width, especially if the truck will be lowered as you suggest. For the same money why not get more tire space?"
I responded with this:
"Get on http://www.fordification.com and you will get an idea as to how many of these conversions have been done on the 67-72 bumpsides. There are wheel offsets out there with lots of styles that can net a 295 width tire under the fender.
Was just a suggestion to expand a product market."
My guess is that I will get no response. I wish these chassis guys would get on the multitude of forums and see what users would like to have. Then again what do I know...guess I am just another dumb engineer.
I did contact CHE Performance this morning via email (they make the rear control arms for the Crown Victoria / Mercury Marauder) and inquired if they would be interested in making them as they seem to be a little more adept to this kind of thing.
