Just make sure the hoist will go under the suspension it you let air out of tires :thup: Just like emeraldcoupe said take it slow and steady. I pulled many engines with trans still on. I put a 429 auto in my 72 shortbed with an engine crane. I did not take the hood off. That was VERY interesting to DO! It was veryyyy close to everything!! :eek:

I still had about 2" of clearance for the hoist with the tires flat, fwiw
