I will time it again and get the mush out of it!
Any ideas on the air filter?

Oh yeah...

I’d probably just stick a “hi-po” air cleaner on it... You can get them from any of the mustang suppliers. It should come with a fitting to attach the holes to.

How much does it lack clearing?

The front edge of the filter can is sitting snug on top of the plug wires, actually off setting the thing enough to cause the carburetor to rev a bit when I screw it down

You might be able to get a spacer at summit racing, assuming you have hood clearance...

Saw the price tag on those mustang filters and almost pitched a clot.... I’ll look at spacers... I think I should have enough clearance for just lifting it off the new dizzy

Been a while since I had an 2V around, but you should be able to measure the hole in your stock air cleaner. I am pretty sure it is the same as a Holley 4V.

If so, you might be able to find a spacer at the local AutoZone.

I keep forgetting the local “Auto-China” has that stuff!
I went in there and asked about the remote starter doohickey.... they all kinda stared at me like I had a horn poking out of my forehead.... finally, the head goober looked it up and found a dusty dirty package in back...
I digress...
I’ll run in tomorrow and ask about the spacer... is there a specific verbage I should use to make it easier for them to find?

Either that, or ask for a spacer for an Edelbrock air cleaner. I think my local AutoZone is "iffy" on Edelbrock stuff, but the local O'Reilly carries it.
