Stupid question #2 for the day. I am disassembling my old engine. During the process, I found the bore was for a 360, not a 352. Okay, no big deal. Today, I figured I'd measure the connecting rods. Since the "short" rods are really close in length to the "long" rods, I checked the crankshaft. On one counterweight, there is "C1AE-A." On the next counterweight, there is a "3." Not a "3U" or a "U3," just a "3."
So, what do I have? I could have sworn I did the obligatory check originally, and got 3.5", which would be for a 352/360. With these stamps, do I have a 390? I guess the next question is, if it's a 390, do I rebuild it and put it back in the truck?
