Inherited 72 F100 Service Truck

Post by Smucci »

Hi all, I decided to make an account to document my restoration of a 1972 F100 Service Truck that I inherited from my grandfather when he passed.

It has a 360 with a C6 transmission and a Koenig Service Bed.

It was sitting for 20+ years under an oak tree on a farm. So far I’ve replaced most of the ignition system, most all of the brake system, rebuilt all 4 drums, painted wheels to stop the rust, muffler, battery, shock absorbers, and I’m about to install a rebuilt carb.

More to come, but I’m just trying to get it running and driving. Aesthetics will come later.

The day I picked it up. Had to dig it out from under branches and leaves:
