new 1970 F100 owner from Eastern Canada
Hi everyone,
After searching for a while, purchased this rig back in September:
It's a 1970 Sport Custom with a 360 and three-on-the-tree - manual steering and manual drum brakes. This is it's original colors (boxwood green and Wimbledon white), according to the door tag. I've only owned F150's for years, but this this is my first project truck (and only my second project after a 1974 Mustang II that I had about 10 years ago). I've got a lot to learn.
Plans are to leave the 3-speed/column shift, upgrade to PS and power disc brakes, tear down and 'refresh' - not rebuild - the 360 engine (I have another identical, spare 360 with a C6 to pull from). Eventually I may rebuild the 'spare' as a 390, but current plans are just to get it on the road. I also plan to install 3-pt seatbelts, 3-G alternator, possibly new seats and noise dampener.
I've been working on it over the past few months and am making some good progress (I think) and will post more photos when I get a chance. I'm also getting into several issues which will require some help (so far I've been lurking through the forums, but will need to ask some questions soon).
so far, I'm having fun - great resource here at FORDification!

thanks everyone.
I hope to start a project log soon to let everyone see my progress (although I'm already behind).

Nice truck! I like 2-tone bumps!
Surprised Lone Ranger (Kyle) hasn’t commented on the boxwood green yet??
