Hello from Canada

Post by Portager »

Hi Everyone,

I've already found this site super helpful, happy to finally get my intro post up.

I'm the proud 5th owner of a 1967 F250. It's a 2wd, 352V8, NP435 and I'd say it's 90% original.

The truck was originally purchased in Portland and my uncle imported it to Canada in 2010. He stopped driving it in 2012 for various reasons, but finally agreed to sell it to me.
I got it running and was able to drive it home. Now working through the maintenance and a few things that have come up to get it street legal in Ontario.

I've wanted a classic car or truck for a long time and very happy to learn wrenching on this one.

Thanks guys,
Years ago w/ my 66 Ford I belonged to a similar site and found it very useful. A little more back story..... I grew up in the back of rumble-seats and more, Packard's, Model A's, Chevy's Cadillac's, etc . Belonging to multiple car clubs in US and Canada. Still have dear friends I consider more than family in BC and Alberta. There is that magical full -on -stock- gas engine sound they make when you start them up. Pull the choke, turn the key, hear and feel the vibration, smell the nasty exhaust that you know could be done better now...That rumble, and rattle, deep-throated, guttural engine throb. I would love to have a dual electric /' gas truck. The technology is there , so why not marry best of both worlds. Just a thought.
