working HEI distributor?

How would u check the coil in an all in one HEI distributor?
Truck died, acted like lost power and or fuel...

Same as any other, hot and not, should spark when one or the other is lifted. Have you changed the module yet? Usually that's the culprit.

Mine has the module inside?
Also has a hot ignition wire and the rest just plug back into itself where the ignition or Batt wire goes.

I unhooked the batt and tried to start my truck with the fuel line not hooked up to the carb. I got no fuel. Pump is fairly new so im confused...which isnt hard.

I may open my fuel filter up and take a look.

If memory serves there is a little module in the base of the dizzy that controls spark.
