Steering column swap
I have a 71 with what once was a 3 speed on the column. It's in the floor now. My question is would a column out of a same or simular year dump f500 f600?? Not sure of the numbers, change out? if not, would there be any foul in not putting the shifter guts back in after replacing the column bearings? Asking for a friend!

I believe that the columns on f500 and heavier trucks are different. Search "f500 1970 interior" and you will see how the steering column is installing.
