Manual to power drum brakes
I can't seem to find a reference that tells me what I need to do on the cheap. Will a 76 booster work on my 67 without changing the pedal and mc?

Am I correct in remembering that I need to use a pedal out of a 76 as well? Best my recollection, they use different pivot points, which causes some binding if a 67 pedal is used... Getting senile, I think, some days.

No need to go outside of the bump era (1967-1972). The pedal brackets for the dent sides (73-79) will not work without considerable modification. http://www.fordification.com/tech/clutc ... ackets.htm
1967 is a one year only model. The pedal rod is shorter than 68-72. Summit Racing carries a complete set up at a reasonable price. https://www.summitracing.com/search/yea ... =Ascending Looks like there are 2 variations, with straight pedal push rod or with cantilever style push rod. Check which one you have before ordering.
Outside of that, you can purchase the individual components or source from a junk yard or Ebay.
You just need to source a 1967 power brake booster, the mounting brackets and an adjustable pedal rod. The booster should be available at your local parts store or online from a number of places. The mounting brackets can be found at http://flashbackf100s.com/new_parts_page (about 1/2 way down the page, see photo) Summit has adjustable push rods https://www.summitracing.com/search/par ... ing&page=2 Don't know the correct measurement so you'll have to see after you have it installed. Before beginning, measure the stroke on your existing push rod to give you a base line. Also not sure whether the attachment to the pedal is a ring type or yoke type so you'll have to check that too. You'll also need the rubber dust boot that goes between the brackets and seals between the booster and firewall, a very rare and hard to find item.

Had a new cantilever type take-off from a 76 laying around, so about 3 am I started thinking about why it wouldn't work. Went out to the shop and did some measurements.
The hole in the flat stock that bolts to the pedal was about 7/16 of an inch too long, so i drilled out a new hole and cut off the excess at the same thickness measurement of the original rod where the brake switch connects.
Perfect fit and perfect height on the pedal. Very pleased with the results, was out cruising with power brakes by 4:30.
