Hi All - just picked this up today and I'm super excited. First Ford project and very little knowledge. wanted to enjoy driving it and learning/teaching with my kids. Any and all advice & help is welcome. 1968 Ford F-250, looks like a Camper Special. Looks like in great shape but you tell me. Previous owner took very nice care of it, took apart engine and cleaned it nicely (390 ci). Needs some cosmetic work but all in all I think will be a lot of fun. Previous owner tells me it was originally manual/2WD but he converted it to 4WD.
Let me know what you think and any advice you have for great online resources and suggestions on where to start.
Thank you and look forward to talking.
Aaron

Re: Newbie - 1968 Ford F-250
here's what I know about it:
Originally a 1968 2WD F250 with 360 8cyl. Previous owner put in a 390GT V8, and converted it to a 4WD. It's really fun to drive, sounds great and runs great. A little hit & miss on the idle, I need to let it warm up for about 5 mins or it will stall putting it in gear. Has anyone had same issue?
Lot's of stuff I want to do to it. Thinking of painting it matte black with red interior. I'm really excited about this project.

from PA! Sweet truck! If you paint it, I would plasti-dip it, that way you can remove it whenever you like... If I had a dime for how many times I've heard someone say they wish their truck had factory paint....
