Magic Smoke Leaks!

I just found this site while on a search for wire harness info. I have a '61 long box Merc Uni , this has been "in the family" since 1987. I recently found I was without brake lights when applying the pedal, the interior light came on instead! Signals, 4 way flashers do work.
I found the feed and return to the brake switch overheated and the magic smoke had leaked out of the harness!!
The online schematics have saved me several hours of flustration at least a colour code helps translate the rest of the damage!
Tracking these wires thru the debris and now under the dash it appears that Ford in their infinite wisdom have fused what appears to be an 18 gauge stranded wire with a 15 amp fuse.

Yes there is a site called Slick 60's, but I am sure you can get good info here also.
