1970 F250 4X4 Rebuild / Updating

I have pictures to post. I finished the front cross member, installed the rear spring hangers and one rear cross member. Hoping to have the springs installed soon so I can mount axles again.

Now to get that front cross member painted. Was going to do it today but weather is terrible.

Managed to get a sinus infection, and the weekend was awesome weather. Well I did get out and work some on Sunday.

It was great to get outside even if it was only for a short time. The paint came out great and dried fairly quick in the 70 degree sunny weather. Is it really February?

This is looking good! How much are you lifting your truck?

That new front cross member is only 1" taller than stock. And the pivot is stock. I did install an add-a-leaf for an additional 2" lift.

The rear is about 6" taller than stock, but I am eliminating the block. So now the rear axle will be mounted right to the spring to eliminate the axle wrap present in High Boys.

Been sick now for two weeks so no work on the truck. Doc thinks I might have pneumonia, yay!

Finally feeling better. Doc says it will be 3 to 4 more weeks before I am done with the pneumonia. Did get out to Harbor Freight on Sunday to get some welding supplies at the big sale. Got snow and ice last night and today so no work too cold.

I am sorry to hear that, the place is like crack buddy. Even my wife likes going there with me.

I got out today for a little while and touched up some of the paint on the frame. I hope to get back out tomorrow and do some work on the frame bushings for the front springs.

I'm excited to see this truck sitting on rubber again it's going to be sweet!
