Been researching and planning my next project, finally found a truck

Post by Horribilis »

picked up this 1969 F100 LWB 390/C6 about a week and a half ago. She hadn't run in 10 yrs, but I got her breathing fire again...well until an electrical gremlin popped up...now trouble shooting that.

Plan to do the CV front swap at some point. Probably an EFI/AOD swap at the same time as the CV K-member. will do a spring under conversion at least or maybe even go with 95-01 Exploder 8.8 with LSD swap.

In the meantime I just want to get her moving under her own power and enjoy her for a bit while working on more immediate needs like replacing the front cab mounts, front inner fenders, and driver floor pan.

Some near term things I will be searching through the boards for are:
1) Worth redoing wiring with an EZ Wiring Harness?
2) Best under-bed fuel tank options with with baffles, in-tank pump and driver side fill
3) Digital gauge options
4) Bench seat with 3 over shoulder belt options

So if anyone has some quick hit comments on these things let me know.

Fun..fun!

Thanks all.

Welcome to Fordification

That is a good looking truck for sitting for 10 years, Is it the original paint or has it been repainted ?

Look forward to seeing You& Your truck onsite to see the progress.

that's a beautiful truck, mines the same color but covered with pine needles and dirt. Its nice to see one that's still shiny and clean.
