1970 F250 4X4 Rebuild / Updating

Had to do yard work this weekend. Since I had the power washer out I cleaned up the Blazer Skip Plate. Surprisingly enough it still has some original paint on it. I do have some grinding to do and get a coat of rust inhibiting primer on it.

Have been working slowly as its hot here and I am fat and old. Just the facts of life. I got the extra holes in the drivers side of the frame welded up. I hope to take a few days off this week and get the passenger side done and get the tank set in place.

Got some more done this weekend, I will post some pictures tomorrow. Set the new tank in the frame rails and got the skid plate cleaned and painted.

Got some work done refurbing the rear springs.

Now I have to finish the other spring. It took longer to dis-assemble clean and paint than I thought it would. The results are worth it though.

I need to sandblast now then add some gussets at the rear spring mounts. Then make the mounting pad for the 78/79 style power steering box.

Still working on the frame. I am going to add some bracing around the the rear spring mount area that had the cross member removed from. I did get a new tool box this weekend so now I can organize things better and be able to find what I need (as long as I put it back).

On Sunday I took my wife to the NASCAR Race at Dover and watched our boy Chase Elliott finish third and make the cut to the next round.

So all in all a great weekend.
