info/pct please for 67 f100 column shift --

hi all----big problems with my column shift---i have a 3 speed and i think the guy before me may have put an automatic shifter assembly on where the shifter should go------ok----3 parts going in----the steering wheel, the assembly with the blinker on it,,,,,then the part you actually shift with-------------fiddled with it for 4 hours and it makes no sense......the whole thing really moves around -----i see at the end of the shiter the rod that goes into a round hole in the shifter shaft-----just bangs stuff around......maybe i could take a pic.........i guess im asking how the unit works and where i might get a new---or used one--------------steve

hi--thanks for the info---i think really all i need if all the guts at the top end of the column----i much appreciate the offer and will gladly pay for shipping...steve
