New guy with old truck

Post by Army_of_One »

I inherited my Uncle's 68 LWB F100. He always had a thing for this generation as there were up to 4 at his place at one time. When he passed he only had "ol' yeller" and a shell of a blue one left. I was trying to sell them for a little while, but they've grown on me and my wife. I tried starting it after it sat for a couple of years, but it was a no-go. I'm hoping to gain from the collective here and bring at least one of them back to life. Thank you guys for your time and wisdom.

Welcome from Oklahoma! That looks like a fun project. Unless you want to keep them "stock to themselves individually", I would use the best parts from each truck and go from there. Either way, best of luck! Keep us posted on your progress.

Thank you guys for the warm welcomes. I'm currently dealing with a 91 F150, so I haven't had time to jump into the 100. I think the carburetor on the 100 might need to be replaced or rebuilt. It's a 240, and I've had no luck finding info on it. I also had to look up how to shift "three on the tree," as I've never used one before. Could you guys recommend a replacement carb? Thank you guys again.
