New member, 1970 Ranger 2WD, Richmond, VA

I'm into anything with an FE in it and own a pristine 66 Cyclone GT. My 14yo daughter thinks old trucks are cool and wanted one as her first vehicle. I spend way too much time on FordFE.com and spotted a '70 Ranger for sale in the classifieds.
Owner had just bought it from the original owner but ran into cash issues and had to unload it. Original owner was in his 80s and kept the truck in a garage its entire life in Kentucky. I'm rebuilding the carb, converting to Duraspark, fresh tires and shocks.
The only rust on the truck is the base of the rear skirt of the cab on the driver's side. I thought this was strange, until I poked through the rust and looked up from the bottom. I was staring directly at the fuel filler where it exists the cab. The rubber grommet had dried and allowed water to get in either when it rained or got washed. No place for that water to go but sit in the base of that pocket. I'll be engineering that a little differently and allow a drain.
Anyway, I just registered for this site and may eventually get some pictures up. What is the best way to share images on this site?
