Just picked it up over the weekend. Super clean with 360, auto, a/c, power brakes and 2wd. Great little truck! Spent several hours over the weekend removing a set of three gauges the original owner had installed years ago on the steering column. The Amperes gauge wasn't working and in removing that one, I discovered some strange jumper wires he installed and factory wires he hooked together as well as disconnecting the neutral safety switch. I found this board and after 5 hours of searching, printing and another 6-7 out under the hood and dash the membership here had posted enough info to help me solve these problems. (It was running and I drove it home 2 hours Friday after I purchased it.) The last one that had me stumped was the neutral safety switch as I had power just not through the solenoid to the starter side post. Ran a jumper wire and confirmed it.
It is Wimbledon white but under the body trim it gave code 23. It is the same two tone blue/light blue as the Sport Custom, so I checked the 1970 model year and that color combo was listed as code 23. Maybe it was a special order truck? It looks great though with a white truck, white interior metal and blue dash pad, door panels and the seat being a blue with light blue panels like the Sport Custom. Coolest modification is the very 1970's vacuum gauge plumbed into the vacuum system. It ranges between Power, Cruising, Idle and Coasting based on the engine vacuum and it works. It also had a homemade cold air intake with what looked like a plastic air intake from a 90's-ish truck that is connected to the factory air cleaner snorkel via a clamp on flexible duct. It didn't quite fit right from the flexible hose to the snorkel so it was taped on with electrical tape. At the front of the duct, the PO cut a hole in the radiator support below the relay between the battery and radiator. He attached a piece of wire screen in front of the opening to keep out large debris. It looked pretty cool and was even screwed down to the fenderwell using the brackets on the duct, but I took it out to fix the wiring issues and the truck ran better without it.
It also had dual batteries with an isolator. The #2 battery was a brand new RV/Marine deep cycle that had a 4ga lead to the bed of the truck for his slide in camper shorepower. I suspect it was this power setup that was causing some issues with the Amperes gauge so I pulled the isolator (it looked old anyhow) when I fixed the wiring issues.
It was built in San Jose, CA, sold new in Sacramento (still has the dealer license plate frame on it), resided just north of there for its whole life and now still in the same area.

Thanks for the welcomes and yes it really was a great find! I love craigslist. Can't wait to get it really washed and then polished up! And thanks to all of you for the help. In less than 48 hours I was able to go from a truck with a couple of hiccups to having it fire up with zero. Just time for improvements and small modifications, but it is awsome!
