New to the forum! 1967 f100 project Brown Thunder
Hey everyone, so I bought I decent 67 f100 short wide back in November. It's a strong runner with 351 Windsor with few modifications. Main issue is RUST. From what I've seen on the forum it's a dilemma that most of us must deal with. It's a texas truck so the rust damage is minimal with the exception of the bed floor which is almost totally gone. So first order of business is taking care of that. See my post in the Paint & Body section! Any help or tips on going about it would be appreciated! Also, how do I post pics?
My ultimate goal for my truck is a complete tear down and restoration from the ground up. I will stick with the stock I beam suspension but will switch to a disc braking system. The 351 has several modifications and puts down about 275-300 hp. I'm happy with that for now. I will take care of the rust but any small dents or blemishes will remain. I feel that the truck has earned them. Because the truck has been painted three times it does not sport a nice patina. So I'll lay down flat olive green with stone silver wheels and trim. Considering all the electronics work inside I'm going to leave it stock but freshen up the paint and upholstery. And finally the whole package will be rolling on American racing classic rallys. FOR NOW ANYWAY.
I've been on Powerstroke.org for years and gained a wealth of knowledge from the diesel guys. I look forward to learning from all those classic gas burner guys out there.

Thanks for the warm welcome people! Now can anyone tell me what year models have a bed that will bolt up to a 67 frame? I want to cut the bed floor out of one and replace the bed in my 67.

from Georgia! The '67 is a unique beast so I'm sure about the bolt holes but the basic floor is the same our generation trucks, '67-72. I believe the corrugation matches up through '79 but I'm not sure. Patch panels are available but don't expect perfection.

Thanks for the info. Patch panels are not really a logical option for what I'm dealing with. I'll most likely have to use them for the areas in front of the wheel wells.
