Hi all.
My 72 custom is bare bones in the trim department. I don't want to drill all the holes needed to mount the side trim but have been thinking a conservative pin stripe or two down the side, above the "bump" might look nice. Plus they are a lot easier to remove than filling in dozens of holes if she ever wants to return to stock condition. My paint is a coppery-brown.
Wondered if there were any pictures out there that might give me a feel what they would look like.
Any feedback appreciated.
Pin stripes anyone?

My 1971 has a 1/4 stripe in the center of the hump. I think it adds to the truck I a subtle way. You can see the way it looks in my thread in this section.

So glad you asked that. Our truck doesn't have the chrome but it is atwo tone and we are thinking of putting pin stripe down the bump.
Whats the feel about pin strip tape as opposed to hand pin stripes? Is the tape a no no, or acceptable.
Is there any good pin stripe articles, instructions on HOW to hand do it?
Thanks Cheryl PS I am an artist and have extreme steady hand but I know there is more to learn than that!

FYI I just checked out some videos on U Tube and they are good and most helpful, lots of them too. Also have some patterns for the stripes. Google it!

Thanks. I'll give utube a look. I had tape stripes on my last truck (1982) and they looked great. It had 3 parralel colors that complimented the base color. Paint would be nicer I think if done well.
