rivnut size for side view mirrors
Anybody know what size rivnut to use for the small side view mirrors for a 69 250? 10-32, 10-24, 8-32? I do not want to use the four tang plastic inserts. Thanks.

Are you using two point mount western mirrors or the car style mirrors? For the Westerns I used 1/4-20 stainless hardware and through bolted it in place. I'm not sure on the car style mirrors. Rivnuts can be a real challenge to install without the correct rivet gun style tool.

Re: rivnut size for side view mirrors
I was planning to use the small 4 x 5 inch mirrors, both sides. I don't plan on pulling a long trailer with this truck. Ill use my E350 for that. I currently have the west coast mirrors on the truck which I will replace with the smaller mirrors. I'm afraid I'll hit something with the west coasts' cause they stick out plus there is a rather large blind spot with them. A few mods and this will be my girlfriends truck so I think the smaller mirrors will be better for her.
I see on the Fordification site dimensional info along with other info. re the mirrors. A #10 screw is called for so I think go with 10-32 0r 10-24. The jack nuts are a great idea. Thanks for the recommendation.
