should I get this f100?

Post by 68f1004x4 »

So I have a 1978 Datsun B210. It has 117000 on it as far as I can tell. I bought it cheap and fixed it with just a fuel pump. All told I'm in it about 750. As far as I can tell the top of the value mark for these is like 2500 and for mine probably more like 1500-1800. It has not carpets or interior panels and may need a little brake work. It runs mint but the motor isn't original although is the same spec as original. I like the car alot I mean alot but I posted it up for trade to see what would bite... so here's why I'm here I was offered for trade a 1968 f100 4X4. Paint is tired and there's some minimal rust in the bed and in the cab corner. It has the original 360 V8 with np 435 trans and stock 4 wheel drive. My question is what is a truck like this worth in the real world. How rare are stock 4x4 68s and do you think it's worth trading a project car I think is super cool but really isn't worth much.Image

Welcome from San Diego :wel:
I'd definitely go for the F100, but you are on a truck forum so expect some bias

Sounds like a good trade to me. Just depends if you want the truck and around 10 MPG. I don't drive these FE's for the MPG.

If that little Sunny was a fastback I'd be all over it! They make nice pocket rockets with an L16 motor (or bigger) swapped in.

As for 10 mpg, if LPG is $1.25 a gallon there vs $2.50+ for gasoline, it's pretty much a wash for fuel costs!
