Hi Guys, found you by sheer accident, and glad I did, I am a VERY proud owner of an all original numbers matching 1968 F-250 2whl drive, Custom Cab 390 4 speed, Boxwood Green over Wimbledon White wheels were 7:50-16 Bias 8 ply tires on split rims ( remember those ?) and all original glass.... The old girl has never been hit, although it has come close a time or two. The truck was bought new in September 1968 by my dad, now get this, it came with a 10 foot camper as a new package together, the package was purchased locally at Mel Beurge Motors in Nelson British Columbia, the sales man was the late Wendy Keller. my dad paid $7200.00 for both new 3/4 ton pick up and brand new 10 foot Scamper Camper. Now the cool thing is, the truck and camper weight exactly 7200 pounds, so it was $1.00 per pound EXACTLY ! Try that today and see ...... the truck has never been repainted, it still has all the chrome and has NEVER seen SNOW, ever............ EVER! The dash pad is like new, the floor mats , yes they are rubber, still have the little tits on them, the seat is perfect, I have it covered, to keep it that way. The old girl has 133,977 miles, I have the original warranty card, and owners manual as well. The only things I have done to her is new shocks, and new stamped steel rims and radial tires, she went from 11 miles to the gallon to 17 in one swoop. I still have the split rims too, complete with the 8 ply bias tires ! LOL The paint is starting to show it's age a bit, and I have to get her up and back on the road, she has been in storage for 8 years, so next year is it. I have some old school pics of here, and I will scan them if anyone is interested in seeing her. Sorry for a long winded intro, but you know how us Ford truck guys can be !!
Cheers
Jeff
