Two-Tone Dividing Line

Post by 3 Speed »

Pulled this photo in response to another question, but noticed that this re-paint-job has an interesting take on where to divide the two-tone paints.

Kind of like it.

This looks like the factory breaks to me. What am I missing?

I thought the factory dividing line was centered right on the bump and behind the trim piece. On this one, the line starts out in front centered but then runs on the bottom line of the bump crease, not behind the trim.

Maybe I am wrong. I do not even have a two-tone!

Could be you're seeing a shadow from the bottom of the bump.

Enlarge the photo and you will see the paint line on the bottom of the bump.

It's the bump-shadow. The paint line is centered beneath the trim pieces.

Look closer and check again. From the front, the dividing line goes to the center of the bump and then turns and follows the bottom line of the bump.

Then again, it does not matter!

3-speed is right, that's no bump-shadow, if paint was a light and dark color it would be noticable

Looks like the paint to me rather than a shadow. I like it

Couple images, paint line in the middle of the bump, rest is shadow.
