'68 F250 In California and my first rebuild!

Post by drcorning07 »

Hello from California! This is my first post, although I've been lurking on the site for a while now. I'm currently right in the middle of my first rebuild ever, learning bit by bit along the way. I'm just about to get the block back from the machine shop, so I figured now would be a good time to join up!

Good Luck in your rebuild. I,ve owned a 68 F250 Camper special that I bought new in June 1968. I also have some part numbers that are not listed in Fordification parts list yet. If I can help, let me know. I live in the Sacramento Calif. area

Okay, so I've got the motor back in the truck, broke in the cam, now it'll start, but it won't idle at all. It's also spitting liquid, unburnt fuel out of the carburetor. It'll still run if I apply throttle, but not very well. Any ideas?
