1967 Driver Door Damaged!

Post by uscdog »

Image

A friend of mine was backing my truck up and while the door was open mildly slammed into a pole with the door.

Now the driver door wont open as it catches on the front fender.

The door from the outside when closed appears to be 'pushed' in.
I can open door by inserting a flat crow bar in the crease and lifting the door away from the body so that it clears the fender,
but it wont open on its own.

i tried adjust the bolts on the jam ...to no avail...Maybe i didnt do it right...

Any body have any idea what may have tweaked and/or what i may need to replace to repair ?!

Remove the door panel and there are 3 bolts on each hinge on the inside of the door that you can use to adjust the door.

Hey uscdog. :hi: I had the same thing happen to me with my 68 F100 Bump Flareside except I did it and a tree was involved. lennyp is right. Remove the door panel, remove the bolts, remove the door and repair any damage to the door itself and reinstall the door. Now here's my :2cents: before you reinstall the door check the hinges where they attach to the door pillar and make sure they are not damaged or haven't moved any.
Man cannot not live alone. He must have a peanut and jelly sandwich and a super large cold could real cold glass of milk.
