Howdy from Silverdale, WA

Post by dunnk »

Hey there everyone! Really glad to have found this forum! I'll have a question later that I'll try to find the right place to post but for now I'll introduce myself.
As the subject line says, I'm living in Silverdale, WA. I'm originally from Western Kentucky, joined the Navy and recently retired here in WA. I owned a '64 F-100 prior to leaving home and thought my it had been crushed years ago. I was home for my 30 year (seriously?!?) HS reunion last year and the topic came up between an old friend and I. He wanted it to restore I said I didn't think it was available but I'd check. Long story short, my brother had rescued it and had it parked out at some property he owns. We dragged it out, pressure washed it and moved it to dry storage. It's amazingly in pretty good shape! A little rust here and there but nothing that can't be fixed. Now, if only I had a place big enough to work on it!! I'll cross that bridge when I can.
For now, I'm going to do some reading!

Welcome aboard! I'm glad you found your old truck again. You'll have a blast fixing it up, no doubt.
There is a website much like this one (though not as good, but none are) for the slick 60's truck: http://www.slick60s.com/
Enjoy your time here, and don't be afraid to ask questions.
