Hello everyone! Just bought a 1970 f250 Sport Custom 4 speed with a 360. Candy Apple Red. Saw it on craigslist and it was too good a deal to pass up.
Runs decent, radiator leaks at the seam and brakes aren't the best, but it has a lot of potential. Body is straight with all the trim and almost no dents. Really no rust to speak of.
I Have been looking at 70s Fords for awhile now and this was the best one to come along so I snatched it up. Mainly looking to get her in good working order and then drive her around for fun on the weekends. Not going to be a daily driver at this time. I figured early '70s trucks are simple enough I can get practice improving my mechanical abilities. I look forward to sharing my progress with you.
My first truck!

Nice truck!
I see you have a homemade monstrosity of a 'hitch' just like my '69 F250 did!
This is the 'bumper hitch' I cut off when I installed my DrawTite #41504 Max-E-Loader Receiver for a deep drop bumper. Excellent hitch, easy to install, Haven't had a problem yet with it.
Here's the hitch I installed:

Out of order, I show you out of order. You don't know what out of order is, Mr. Trask. I'd show you, but I'm too old, I'm too tired, I'm too [censored]' blind. If I were the man I was five years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place! Out of order? Who the hell do you think you're talkin' to? I've been around, you know?..And Harry, Jimmy, Trent, wherever you are out there, [censored] YOU TOO! - Lt Col. Frank Slade
