Hey folks.
My name is JR, I've been a fan of this forum for a while now and learned a lot from reading some of the posts so first of all I want to say thanks!
This is what I've got its a 1967 f100 that I've started restoring as of now I've got the CV front mocked up I've got the explorer rear mocked up. I've got a fuel injected 302 and aod trans thats going in. Now I know there are quite a few people out there that are running this set up so I just have a few questions.
1. Ride height I've read that the cv front will lower the front 5 inches is that a fair estimate?
What about the rear? I am going to run the axle on top of the springs will that get the truck low enough in the rear to be close to level? I've got 5 inches between the top of the axle and the bottom of the frame should I c notch it?
2. Wheel size, I've picked out some 20x8.5 for the front and 20x10 with 4 inches of back spacing in the rear, I seen those wheel sizes on JG f100 build thread. Will there be any clearance issues?
I'm sure I'll have a ton more questions as I get further with the build
Thanks for ya'lls help!
JR.

Howdy JR.
As far as the axle flip, mine netted 5.25 inches of drop.
Without notching, it'll have about two inches from the axle tube to the frame. You can either leave it be with a very stubby bump stop or C-notch it. I would do a C-notch because there will be that one pot hole, that one railroad crossing, or one time you'll actually need to haul a heavy load.
Dunno about the distance of a CV drop but that sounds about right.
Btw, calling it a 'restoration' is a misnomer. That means going back to OEM parts and configuration. What you're doing is a "build".
Good luck with it!
