New to site - with a '71 F250

Post by Chucks1 »

Just dropping by to say hi. I've been lurking for a few weeks now. Just picked up a '71 F250 about a month ago and have been fixing up a few things here and there. It's got 80k miles, a 390 v8, C6, PS, PB and factory A/C. It's mostly original, so a number of things that need fixing or repair.

So far I've replaced the turn signal mechanism and wiring harness in the steering column, new tires, replaced the factory seat belts with harnesses from Seat Belt Pros, replaced a non-existent dome light and door switches, new battery cables, tune-up and new gas caps. A new dash pad is on the way.

I've already found a wealth of information on this site, so thanks to all who have been there and done that. I appreciate it.

Thanks guys. I was actually looking for a 1/2 ton short box, but the body on this F250 was just too clean to pass up. New dash pad and glove box liner ordered just yesterday, so the light refurbs continue.
