custom cab

Post by Busboy »

Do all 67 custom cabs have the chrome around the back glass? Mine doesn't and it looks to be an original glass weather strip.

No the "Custom Cab" in our years were the base model.
The "Ranger" was more likely to have window trim.

I have a '60 "Custom Cab" and that was the fancy model.
It has TWO door locks and TWO sunvisors plus arm rests and a radio wow. :D

For 67, the Standard was the base model - steel grille, plain instrument cluster, painted headliner trim, etc. This one has no markings at all on the cab.

The Custom Cab added aluminum grille, chrome trim for front windshield, chrome headliner trim, full cluster, aluminum trim on tail lights, better upholstery, deluxe heater standard. This is what I have. "Custom Cab" on the cab.

The Ranger package added the cool hubcaps, chrome on the back window, different upholstery, and carpet (I think), along with "Ranger" marking.

A buyer could add a lot of these items as options, I am sure.

Ooops
I was mistaken, I confused "Custom Cab " with the later "Custom" models that were the base trim trucks.

Chrome bumpers on Ranger. Any rear bumper may have been an option on Standard.

I would like to note that not all options listed above were on the custom cab trucks. My 67 has painted headliner trim, but does have a rangoon red interior.
